Working

I have always been intrigued by the industry of work. It is a world in which man is used as raw material. From the Middle Ages, through the Industrial Revolution and on to the present day, nothing has changed. I see in the faces of this labor, a vulnerable body, sweat and physical exhaustion.

Most of the time these scenes are invisible or are ignored, but it is a reality shared in all the workplaces where manual labor dictates the daily routines of the many. Timeless. Identical.

It is the pure exploitation of labor. Hard. Cruel. Unjust and often without mercy. In many situations, it is in opposition to nature and ourselves. Man is a wolf to man. It is a product of our consumer society. A cruel reality. Uncompromising and unforgiving.
